MoMA Design Store | Sustainability

A suite of design objects centered around sustainability for MoMA’s current product lineup. 

The products celebrate new sustainable materials: wood terrazzo and rebonded foam, textures and form notions while embracing green paradigms to make a smart signature product with character.

Embracing the material’s close-to-raw form to create a larger statement around the material’s origin or environmental issue through the products they make up.

Through material expression, the goal is to educate through eye-catching and minimal products within the home. starting with the kitchen, dining and living spaces.

Shapes and forms rooted in the elemental nature of MoMA’s modern art collection. 
Elemental cutting boards made from wood off-cuts, cement and resin binders, with the option to customize base colors, stacking to create one uniform set, to be hung or to be set on a countertop.
2D form studies to quickly evaluate compositions and color palettes.
Seat cushions, coasters, and placemats made from 100% rebonded foams, with the option to customize color blends from palettes inspired by iconic artworks displayed at the MoMA, bringing out the museum’s signature touch.
